This lightsaber fight was worth the price of admission alone. Badass.
Good start to the series. Picked up #2 this week, looking forward to getting into it later. Good pace, good dialog, AMAZING art. Though be warned Vader is barely in it until the end, but definitely recommended nontheless.
I’m An Idiot
It was in my hands at the comic store a couple weeks back. MONTHS after initial release, a 1st printing of Dawn of the Jedi #1. And did I take it? NO. ”I don’t want to start in on another series”, I told myself. I’m already getting a number of DC titles monthly, and I’m trying to stay on a budget. But I made the mistake of reading the first issue digitally just recently, and now I’m hooked and I want to collect the series in print. I’ve ordered #2-#4 and they’re on the way. Ebay has some copies of #1 available for about $15, but…well, the whole budget thing again, and getting into double-digit figures for ONE comic seems a bit absurd to me. It’s not the fact that it’s a first printing that’s the attraction, it’s that the current third printing cover is just so damn ugly (yes, these things matter to me), and the 2nd printing is even MORE scarce than the 1st so my OCD/collector mentality has settled on the 1st printing being the one I need to have.
SO, if anyone can point me in the direction of where I can get a decently-priced 1st printing, or if you have an extra copy you’re willing to part with, I’d really appreciate it.
